According to Hindu beliefs, Makar Sankranti is considered the first festival of the year. The festival of Makar Sankranti is considered very important for Hindus. Because from this day the ban on all auspicious works is over. On this day, one gets blessings by donating and bathing. Although the festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated on 14 January, but this time in 2020, this festival will be celebrated on 15 January.
Many people have many dilemmas about this day, on which day it will be celebrated. At the same time astrology says that the festival of Makar Sankranti is dedicated to the Sun God and when the Sun transits into Capricorn from Sagittarius, the festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated.

Remedy No. 1
Wake up early in the morning of Makar Sankranti and offer Arghya to the sun after bathing. Now, facing east direction, sit on the seat of Kush and chant this mantra with the rosary of Rudraksha.
Mantra – “Oom Aditya Vidamhe Divakarai Dheemahi Tanno Surya: Prachaodayat“.
Do chant at least 5 garlands. In this way, chanting mantra will remove all the troubles of life.
Remedy No. 2
After getting up early in the morning on Makar Sankranti and bathing, offer Arghya to the rising sun with copper lotus. If you add kunkum and red colored flowers in water, it will be more auspicious. While chanting Arghya, keep chanting the mantra: Om Ghriti Surya. In this way, every desire of the mind can be fulfilled by offering arghya to the sun.
Remedy No. 3
To avoid the inauspicious effects of the Sun, one should worship by setting up the Sun Yantra on Makar Sankranti. This reduces defects and also provides special benefits. Set up the Sun Yantra in this way- After getting up early in the morning of Makar Sankranti and taking a bath etc., bow to the Sun God. After this, purify the Surya Yantra with Ganges water and cow’s milk. Now after worshiping this Yantra one should chant Surya Mantra.
Mantra – “Om Ghrani Surya Namah“.
After chanting, do this Yantra at your place of worship. Worship of this Yantra soon ends the problems related to the Sun.
Remedy No. 4
On Makar Sankranti it is auspicious to keep jaggery and raw rice flowing in the flowing water. If the Sun God is to be pleased, then cooked rice should be mixed with jaggery and milk. By doing these remedies, the Sun God is also pleased and gives auspicious results.
Remedy No. 5
Donation has special significance on Makar Sankranti. According to the Dharma Shastras, the donations made on this day are attained a hundred fold. If you want luck to support you, then donate blankets, warm clothes, ghee, raw khichdi of lentils and rice etc. on this day. If you provide food to the poor, your wish will be fulfilled more quickly.

In the most recent development in the Republic Day violence case, Jaspreet Singh, a Delhi resident was arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Monday in connection with the violence that marred the national capital during the tractor rally on January 26.
The 29-year-old was seen in offensive gesture holding steel tensile installed at the Red Fort and has been accused of climbing up one of the tombs located on both sides of ramparts of the iconic monument during the January 26 violence. Jaspreet is also known as Sunny and is a resident of Swaroop Nagar.

Delhi Police have so far arrested over 100 people in connection with the violence that broke out at ITO and Red Fort during the farmers’ Republic Day ‘Tractor Parade’. Last week, the Police, tightening its noose around the culprits, released photos of 220 people allegedly involved in the violence that erupted on Republic Day. The police had also appealed to the public to share any photos or videos of the violence.
Deep Sidhu arrested by Delhi Police; gangster Lakha Sidhana still on the run
Among those arrested is the Punjabi actor and Khalistani supporter Deep Sidhu for his role in instigating violence and the vandalisation at Red Fort on Republic Day during the farmers’ tractor rally. Sidhu was traced by Delhi Police using advanced surveillance technology.
Another accused in the case, gangster Lakha Sidhana is still on the run and had recently released a video, urging people to meet at Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh’s ancestral village Mehraj in Bhatinda for a Kisan rally to be held on February 23.
The Delhi Police special cell also arrested one Maninder Singh Moni, a mechanic who was seen swinging swords at the Red Fort on January 26. According to the police, the sword dancing by Moni motivated violent protesters to attack personnel stationed at the Red Fort.
Republic Day riots in Delhi
Delhi on Republic Day this year was convulsed with large scale violence after rioters disguised as ‘farmers’ entered Delhi to unleash violence, injuring nearly 400 policemen. Many of those rioters, driving tractors, reached the Red Fort and hoisted religious flags and alleged Khalistani flag on its domes and the flagstaff at the Red Fort while desecrating the national flag.
The police have so far registered 38 FIRs in connection with the Republic Day violence and have arrested over 100 people. They had also issued lookout notices against 44 people, including the alleged ‘farmer’ leaders, who they believed had instigated the rioters to indulge in violence.
